Where The Wild Things Are
This blog is actually pretty ironic. When I opened my e-mail telling me about the assignment I laughed. I literally had just watched the trailer online because my roommate's girlfriend showed it to me. And after I watched it, I went on iTunes and bought Wake Up by Arcade Fire. I really enjoy that song, it has a great sound to it. I think this movie is going to be awesome. I loved the book as a kid, and was in a play in kindergarden about the book. I need something to take me back, especially right after my 21st birthday... I'm getting old. Anyways, this movie is going to be thebomb.com. I just hope it doesn't get over-hyped and then become a disappointment. Although I think it will hold its own. I'm super pumped. To be honest, I don't remember specific musical pieces from movie scenes, yet alone ending credit songs, I'm walking out of the theater... Opening credits, I'll go with the Star Wars theme song. That'll send chills down any nerds back. The best ending credits song that I remember is What I've Done by Linkin Park in Transformers. Pulled the whole movie together I think. It was a great song for a great movie. Best love scene song is Take My Breath Away by Berlin in the movie Top Gun. What's not to love. That song was perfect for that scene and is still used today. The "Nobody" song from Kill Bill, Crazy 88 scene. For some reason it fits, mainly because its so opposite of what is going on visually. As for the car chase scene, I'll go with Can't Turn You Loose by the Blues Brothers in the their movie. It took some research to get here, but that's what I came up with. Music and movies... a great combination when fused together.
